The Falling Of Dusk - Why? - Dave Steell
It's Lent - an invitation to go to places that aren't comfortable to find the God who seems to be found more easily in the wilderness than in the comfort. On the cross, Jesus speaks seven 'words' as darkness falls on the land. Paradoxically, in the darkness of that moment and those words, we're invited to see the light and voice of God. Through lent we're reading the book 'The Falling Of Dusk' by Paul Dominiak, and learning from Jesus' seven last words as he hangs on the cross.
This week, Dave gives space to consider Jesus' cry 'Why?'

Discipleship - Windows and Mirrors - Dave Steell
'Come, follow me'. The invitation of Jesus is an invitation to follow, to learn, to grow, to become. That said, we've not always done a great job of learning from Christ. Often, discipleship has become about leaders enforcing their own perceptions of what someone's life should look like. At other points, the church has completely omitted to mention that Jesus asks us not just to 'believe' but also to live more and more like the one we say we believe in.
Dave finishes our series with a look at what discipleship looks like in community.

Discipleship - Freeing The Sabbath - Lianne Howard-Dace
'Come, follow me'. The invitation of Jesus is an invitation to follow, to learn, to grow, to become. That said, we've not always done a great job of learning from Christ. Often, discipleship has become about leaders enforcing their own perceptions of what someone's life should look like. At other points, the church has completely omitted to mention that Jesus asks us not just to 'believe' but also to live more and more like the one we say we believe in. This week, Lianne explores how the ancient practise of Sabbath has lessons to teach us about God, ourselves, and our life together.
