Keeping Music Journalism Alive

This podcast is one of the best sources of music discussion on offer - New York Times Chief Pop Critic Jon Caramanica leads an utterly fantastic show that applies consistently fascinating and diverse opinions - always delivered with an unfailingly hilarious sense of humour - while never forgetting to hit the nail on the head and keep music journalism fresh, exciting and, above all, honest. And the show isn’t afraid of those hot takes! From specials on Ashlee Simpson to regular check ins on what’s happening with Queen Taylor to celebrations of musicians lost that, frankly, nowhere else is doing - Jon and the gang have created an incredible community for music lovers across the globe. Every episode is a joy.

Xenophobia and racism

The last episode uploaded on Friday is full of xenophobia and racism. They are criticising an artist, a band and their work only because are Korean and not Americans. It is absurd that in 2023 a platform allowed this type of content.

Racist and xenophobic

Weird opinions expressed here about Asian artists, and whether they should release songs in English. You’d never hear that discourse about white artists who are from France, or Spain. The only explanation is that the host is racist.
