    S2E22: Ken Scott

This week on Rockonteurs, Gary Kemp and Guy Pratt continue their tour with Nick Mason’s Saucerful of Secrets but still find time to talk to legendary record producer Ken Scott. Ken produced Elton John, Pink Floyd, Procol Harum, Jeff Beck, The Beatles and David Bowie to name but a few. He co-produced Ziggy Stardust, which this month celebrates its 50th anniversary, so expect a tale or 2 from the days at Trident making that record plus his time at Abbey Road, where he started at just 16 years old! Ken is a music fan, a British recording legend and a great storyteller.

This week Gary Kemp and Guy Pratt welcome a true Mod legend to the show. How many people can say they’ve been in one great band let alone three! Well, Kenney Jones can! Drummer for The Small Faces, Faces and The Who, Kenney shares some excellent stories from the early days of being a mod, meeting Steve Mariott, rock and roll shenanigans with Rod and Ronnie and then getting the call to join The Who. Begin the day with a friendly voice

Been listening now in chronological order and makes the morning and evening commute that little less dreary with a great and diverse variety of guests. Catalogue has been consistently superb and just a great way to listen to some wonderful back stories. This and John de Christopher’s drum room chat are my go-to podcasts as both have great discussion and insight.

Loved the reaction you got from the Greek audience, who after finding out that we were English spoke to us as if we had been on stage with you.
Loving the pod casts.
PS I was lucky enough to meet Nick on holiday in Barbados, lovely man.
