Amazing
I adore this podcast! Love psychology and love movies, this is perfect.
EVERYONE needs to listen to this immediately
I was recommended this podcast last month and absolutely devoured the episodes during a 10-day isolation last month (thanks Covid).
I LOVE LOVE LOVE the intense detail that they go into around characters and their motivation. It’s really the level of detail I want to discuss every movie and series in, so thanks for normalising this behaviour.
I’m now at the stage of going out my way to watch movies, so that I can listen to the podcast episodes on it and it’s overtaken my previous favourite movie podcast “The Rewatchables”.
(Im)patiently waiting for the Gone Girl and Girl on a Train episode.
Entertaining, Intelligent and Relatable
Popcorn Psychology is my favourite podcast so far. I have an interest in psychology and fiction, and despite not being a huge movie buff, Hannah, Ben and Brittney make movies that I haven't even seen seem interesting. Ones I haven't have made their way to my ever-growing watchlist, just for the relationships between characters and how the guys talked about them.
They do a great job of explaining symptoms, disorders, therapies, experiences and how they effect us, external factors that affect the working world of psychology itself, and give good tips and advice for people experiencing the topics they dicuss. They're also open about thier own experiences and have great rapport between eachother. You can tell they're good friends in person. They've gotten a few chuckles out of me and some endeared smiles from thier friendship and thier words of assurance to the listener.
Listening to this podcast has been great company for me while I've been isolated. I'm glad I found it.
Thanks for everything so far guys!
