Customer Reviews
Exceptionally good info
I've listened to podcasts since before they were called that, read journals and articles back when paper was king, and watched enough YouTube science to make some geeks rich through ad revenue. Recently though, everything online has merged into a giant copy and paste, much like modern cars all looking the same. But like cars, exceptions do exist. This podcast is such an exception. Forget Huberman, Bilyeu, and Joe. There's nothing massively wrong with their content, but then again, there's nothing massively right with it either.
As a Brit, I've found our experts are decent, but tame. The Americans are bolder, they don't sell the steak, they sell the sizzle. Slowly I've realised that the sizzle isn't enough, especially in areas like health. When I first heard Mr Potter on other podcasts, I was impressed enough to write down his name. He was no wimpy guest, simply agreeing with whatever the host said or skipped past. Without being rude, he managed to repeatedly clarify ideas and bring them up to date or put them in context. He would come up with ideas that other scientists are frankly too blind to see. I believe this talent comes from his genuine desire to help. What comes from the heart goes to the heart, especially to the hearts of like-minded people, and it cannot be faked. It's this combo of British politeness, not constantly selling, mixed with nuanced and analysis that puts him a notch above the norm. And by norm, I mean placing him above those already regarded at the cutting edge.
This form of world-class information will always be rare, but somehow, I hope it spreads. Health and vitality are not just cool subjects. If you see the opposite, illness and weakness, it's sad. Our body and mind carries us through life, and this podcast will make that a journey better.
Mr Potter, take a bow.
