NEW PODCAST – Secure by Design (SbD): Risk & Resilience ft. Kingston Technology

RISK AND BUSINESS: Secure by Design (SbD): Risk & Resilience Secure by Design (SbD) is a methodology that is increasingly being adopted across industries including Police, Government and MOD. Secure by Design (SbD) as an approach, is the requirement in systems and application engineering where security is considered a fundamental aspect of the design process rather than an afterthought. The new adoption of SbD across industry promotes the concept that security of systems and applications should be continually reviewed to ensure we are responding in a timely manner to the evolving threat landscape. In this second part, we continue diving deep into the essential topic of mental health and support for our armed forces and ex-armed forces with Paul Minter from Head Up Charity. Money v Education - Which one would lead to better security?

RISK AND BUSINESS: Money V Education, which one would lead to better security? Join Mike Gillespie, Advent IM, and Robert Allen, Kingston Technology as they discuss the changes to working life and how they have led to  a much more mobile workforce, using technologies that are new to many.  To make this work securely everyone needs to be on board from the C-suite onward. Whilst there may be a reported increase in cyber security spend, that does not necessarily mean that businesses will therefore be more secure… How do we mold education to change insecure behaviours and how do we make security more appetising and appealing to engage with at the leadership strata? About Kingston Technology Kingston has grown to be the world’s largest independent manufacturer of technology products which include memory, solid state drives & encrypted USB.  Kingston is dedicated to exceeding the industry standard in terms of product details, quality and reliability.  With over 35 years’ experience, Kingston has the knowledge to identify and resolve your mobile data challenges – making it easy for your workforce to work securely without compromising your organisation.   Robert Allen, Director of Marketing & Technical Services, Kingston Technology  Robert Allen is the European Director of Marketing & Technical Services. Advent IM Birthday Celebration Podcast

Have you had a chance to listen to our special edition podcast? Listen in to hear about the journey of Advent IM: why it started, how it started, who was involved and what plans we have for the future! “When we first envisioned Advent IM 20 years ago, we looked around us at how the consultancy world conducted its business and promised to be different. To engage with our client partners openly, honestly, collaboratively, and transparently. We remain fully committed to this ethos. When we reflect on the last 20 years, we wonder at how significantly the world has changed since we were a small start-up in an Enterprise Centre. Cyber has entered the mainstream; no longer a niche, the reserve of the strange world of the technogeek, and the concepts of Cyber-Physical, Convergence and Holistic Security, which we were at the forefront of, continue to be hotly discussed today. It feels like 20 years have gone by so quickly. Some of you have been with us almost the whole journey, trusting us in the early days to fulfill our promises and continuing to trust us all these years later. Some we have come to know so well that we have developed genuine friendships. Some of you are more recent to the Advent IM brand and philosophy. To you, we say that we hope you are enjoying the journey and that in years to come, you will continue to be beside us on our journey and be an integrated part of the Advent IM family”. – Mike Gillespie, Managing Director, Advent IM  The podcast features are Mike Gillespie and Julia McCarron: Mike Gillespie: Instagram – https://www.instagram.com/advent_im_md/ LinkedIn – https://www.linkedin.com/in/adventimmikegillespie/ Twitter – https://twitter.com/Advent_IM_MD Julia McCarron: LinkedIn – https://www.linkedin.com/in/juliamccarronadventim/ Advent IM: Instagram – https://www.instagram.com/advent_im_security/ LinkedIn – https://www.linkedin.com/company/1398434/ Twitter – https://twitter.com/Advent_IM LISTEN TO THE PODCAST HERE!
