Exile, redemption, impurity, revealing the future. Jacob was in Egypt, but he wasn't in Exile. Shabbat can be a way to stay out of exile too.

Often we think that the best way to resolve a problem is to put more time, effort or money into a solution. Sometimes that may be the way to solve the problem. But what if the problem presents no obvious solution? What if no amount of time and money in the world will possibly solve it? By recognizing that we have everything we need, and that everything comes from God we can merit having our eyes opened to a solution. In this teaching of the Sfas Emes we look at the dramatic meeting of Yaakov and his brother Esav, and Hagar who is left in the desert but miraculously is saved."
