The UK's rail network is one of the safest in the world, but this is a reputation that has been hard-won through a dark history of death and destruction. Each of these accidents has helped to prevent another in the future. Signals to Danger is a series of Podcasts exploring and explaining the worst disasters on the UK rail network. Using reports, inquiries, news articles and first hand accounts, we will dive deep into these accidents and understand what went wrong, who was effected and how each incident went on to change the railway going forwards. Excellent work thank you for producing this great podcast

I’d often heard about these railway accident’s but hadn’t understood how and why they occurred.

These podcasts provide great incite into how the railway works with the root causes, the critical moments that caused the accidents and the learnings taken to prevent them from happening again.

Really well researched by Dan who has a deep understanding about signalling and The show is very respectful of the dead.

Dan tells you the shows in context to the current affairs of the time and what’s happening in his own life.

Listening to many of the shows back to back as I did can leave you feeling a little glum. I’d suggest taking a break between shows with a bit of lighter listening.

Great Balance

Such a great podcast. It would be so easy to be sensationalist about this topic but the podcast stays true to the facts and is really well researched and informative. Such a great balance of telling us what happened, why it happened and the steps taken after to try and prevent future accidents without speculation or here say. I also find it so respectful and touching that those who lost their lives are remembered in each episode.
