Sisters of the Moon: Practical Magic

Fear Feasts

Now what would you do if you and your sister found out that you came from a long line of witches, including your two aunts who raised you? What would you do if your sister ran off with one crazy man and came back years later with another crazy man that you had to kill.....twice? Worse yet, what if his evil spirit continued to haunt you and your sister and the family home? What would you do if you were raising your own two daughters to be mini witches, complete with herbs, cooking and baking, and they started casting spells on each other as a result? What if your witchy aunts insisted on having midnight margaritas with you and your sister - surely you wouldn't say no to midnight margaritas, would you? What if the spell you cast on yourself to never fall in love with anyone other than an impossible man came true and the impossible man showed up at your door asking questions about the dead guy? What if you spent your time pushing him away and also trying to impress him with your cooking, including olive and cream cheese sandwiches, apple tarts, stuffed mushrooms, marshmallow pies, and pot roast? We'll discuss these hungrily horrifying questions and analyze the connection between food and horror (and witchcraft!) in the novel Practical Magic and the 1998 film of the same name, so please join us!
