Great to be so frank and honest, from a 40 year old amateur who’s body aches 😂
Inspirational
Absolutely amazing podcast, love Big Jim’s style and approach. He has an engaging way of relaxing guests and opening them up. Find many of the episodes truly inspirational and have helped me through a few dark days recently, fantastic.
Not afraid to go there…
Having loved the banter on the Rugby Pod for years, finally decided to embrace ‘The Big Jim Show’ and loving it!! You can’t fake sincerity and authenticity and Jim’s disarmingly honest approach to all his guests makes for a really insightful and informative series of shows. Jim’s self-deprecating sense of humour (or basic willingness to laugh at himself, a lot!) and an openness to being vulnerable, puts all his guests at ease and he gets some fantastic interviews as a result, often from people you wouldn’t expect like Springbok Jasper Wiese. You’ve got to love Jim’s predictions though - just finished listening back to the Dean Richards episode from Feb 2023 where Jim predicts the demise of South Africa at the coming World Cup in France! Anyway, this show has real honest charm and is more about letting Jim’s guests share their stories than an excuse for Jim to show off like some other rugby pods we all know. A great listen and think it would be awesome if one day someone could swap seats with the big Cov Skin and we can hear his story too, now THAT would be unmissable. Fantastic work.
