Ashy and Ugo join Sara to reflect on a busy few days in the world of rugby. They speak to Sarah Hunter who played her last game at the weekend in what was her 141st appearance for the Red Roses. They also pay tribute to Stuart Hogg who on Monday announced he’ll be hanging up his boots after the World Cup later this year. And interim boss of the WRU Nigel Walker is on the pod to discuss the news that Welsh rugby clubs have voted in favour of major governance change. A Sarah Hunter special
Sara Orchard sits down with England’s most capped player, Sarah Hunter as she retires from the game of rugby union. The Six Nations match in her home town of Newcastle on Saturday against Scotland will be her last in a Red Roses jersey.
They discuss everything - from why, as England captain, she has decided to hang up her playing boots, her best memories of playing for her country - including that World Cup win in 2014 and of the lows as well. But not only that, there are cameo appearances from former England captain, Katy Daley-McLean, England and Loughborough Lightning team-mate, Emily Scarratt and England head coach Simon Middleton.
Hunter also reflects on the very start of her career, her hopes for the women’s game going forward and her future plans. -
The final weekend review with Barclay and Warburton
Our two favourite captains, Sam Warburton and John Barclay, are back with Ugo and Chris on the sofa in Media City to round up the final weekend of an enthralling Six Nations. They discuss what sets Grand Slam winners Ireland apart from their rivals, there's more on Freddie Steward's controversial red card in Dublin, and the home nations are graded on their performance in the tournament. Does a Slam mean Ireland should automatically receive top marks? The guys also pick their best players and moments of the tournament.

Six Nations Daily
Love the daily pod, great mix of pundits but you badly need an Irish voice in the group. In the final round up pod, Ireland Grand Slam champions and no one to sing their praises. Not good enough.
Men’s rugby only please.
I think the majority of people tune into this pod to catch up with the men’s game and aren’t particularly interested in the women’s game. Perhaps a separate pod could be created to specifically focus on the women’s game and retain this pod to focus exclusively on the men’s game.
Calm down Chris - let them just get on with it
The most consistently incisive podcast. However, while I like Chris v much, recently he and (to a lesser extent) Ugo are the ones fanning/sensationalising England’s foes like “no top teams chop and change 10/12/13 like England “ - well do you think Chris that Borthwick wants to?? It’s a bit tabloid. Poor Danny and other pundits having to go along with such flow, and poor Genge having to repeat the same point several times. I understand Chris has to try to make the pod “interesting”, but he’s trying too hard and stretches the pad to 60 minutes when only 20 was necessary. Thankfully Dawson wasn’t there to add fuel to the fire.
Johnny Beattie in the last pod and Genge in this one succinctly told him in a nutshell what the issue facing England is - so just let them get on with it Chris, stay calm and don’t fan panic. It takes time ang you’re not doing England any favours.
