I have just listened to the episode on the book After the Pogrom, so refreshing, so many brilliant points, unequivocal support for Israel, I’m going to listen to it again and probably buy the book too.

I’m pro-Israel, but Brendan’s uncritical acceptance of every single claim made by their government and his refusal to countenance even the mildest good faith criticism of the way the war is being prosecuted does him no favours. In fact, it makes him sound more like a brainwashed cult member than an intellectually rigorous journalist.

At the time when Trump’s support for Putin reaches its zenith and millions of people in Eastern Europe fear Russian aggression, O’Neil invites to his podcast a mouthpiece for Trump. Freedom, democracy and progress? I don’t think so…

The podcasts are always thoughtful and worthwhile. However, any chance of interviewing people you don’t agree with?

The strong editorial line the show has taken in support of Israel’s war crimes and crimes against humanity has made it impossible to continue listening. I believe the rule of law and justice are conservative values - Brendan O’Neill can no longer claim to be a conservative or right leaning journalist, he is clearly an extremist and dangerous radical.

Just listened to the interview with William Clouston from the SDP and must say I was very impressed. So nice to hear an honest, respectful discussion between an interviewer and the guest without ‘gotcha questions’. Most enlightening.

Great interview, Gareth comes across as sensible, informed and articulate. I just bought his book and am looking forward to a good read.

I’m wondering alongside the status symbol of having a trans identified child, if the bigger monster that isn’t (maybe) talked about as much/widely know / critiqued, is children and adult diagnosis of autism spectrum conditions. Linked to this is the huge amounts of financial incentives (and status) when receiving such a diagnosis. For some people being on a waiting list allows them to receive financial support. Not denying the usefulness for families/people that do need this but there is a pandemic of people seeking the diagnosis currently. Would love to hear people talking about the autism pandemic. Also very interesting podcast generally. I’ve given 4 stars as I don’t often hear about solutions (like for example would have been very interested to hear the alternatives to locking down during covid not only that it was bad) just critique.
