I’ve only been listening to The Archers for about 15 years, and for most of that I’ve been a solo listener. For the last few years I’ve been listening with my mum and we’ve loved chatting about what the characters are up to, and asking each other “have you listened yet!?” as we’ve been excited to discuss the Ambridge going’s on. Last month my lovely mum died having listened to her last omnibus in the hospice with me a few days before she died. Missing her and having no one to chat with about The Archers, I thought I’d try a pod and I found this one and fell in love. I feel like I’ve found my people and it’s great. Full disclosure: I only found this podcast a few months ago (when the car went off the bridge and I needed to hear someone else’s opinion, amidst friends that don’t listen and think me insane) - but I beg you, please go on forever. Life is stressful sometimes, and you guys make me forget any stress for at least 27-68 minutes (episode depending). Thank you. You’re never allowed to stop or leave us. P.s weirdly, I subscribed to Patreon before actually listening to an episode on the main feed as was that desperate, and have never done that before. I think it was the universe telling me how much joy your podcast would bring.
