Eventually becoming a decent podcast

I came to this initially expecting something along the lines of the BBCs ‘Grenfell Inquiry Podcast’ which covered the events and even got specialists in to explain some of the issues. It seemed to be coming out of the BBC”s news department and even just repeating what was said elsewhere wouldn’t require much effort.

Instead we got a seriously lacklustre effort, in its early episodes little more than a brief couple of minutes to tell us that an inquiry was happening and nothing else. As time has gone on and the names of those appearing have got bigger the coverage has expanded, but still in such a way that it’s difficult to follow, chopping Hunt, Johnson, Sunak et als replies into sound bites so they just hang in the air.

A wasted opportunity.

Just a summary of events

This podcast just summarises who said what with no extra insight. The Grenfell podcast gave loads of useful explanation of why things mattered. I hoped it would improve as things got going but it’s all the same. This podcast falls well short of inform, educate or entertain

Unsatifying - look elsewhere

Disappointing and somewhat superficial. I was hoping for something with more depth.
