Interesting and informative. This podcast fills me with hope that we have the tools to stop the global rot. Love the wide and broad range of content.

Space Based Solar Power

The episode with Ian Cash from IECL is good - because it proves how stupid this idea is! It is such old fashioned thinking to work around ideas of fossil fuel and nuclear power generation.
Well done to the interviewer for her searching, common sense questioning.
This idea is totally ridiculous because it assumes we need centrally based power generation and storage. BUT the sensible and obvious way to go is to generate and store the energy AT THE LOCATION IT IS USED! Then there is no need what so ever for a national grid moving energy around the country!
