Lowering expectations, summer holidays and car-crash TV

The Imposters Club is back for season 6, helmed as always by Sinéad and Mel: two best friends figuring life out, one episode at a time. This week we’re learning to lower our expectations in order to actually enjoy ourselves more. Mel’s summer holiday dreams weren’t quite the same as the reality, so we’re letting go of the Insta-perfect highlight reels and letting ourselves find joy in the bloopers. And talking of bloopers – have you been watching And Just Like That? Unattainable wealth a...

Backing yourself at work, unionizing Swifties and a podcasting deja-vu

The Imposters Club is back for season 6, helmed as always by Sinéad and Mel: two best friends figuring life out, one episode at a time. This week we’re doing it: we’re officially backing ourselves at work. We’re reflecting on everything we’ve learnt over the past 6 seasons - how Imposter Syndrome functions, how we can manage it and what our values are, and now we’re putting it into practice. We’re talking about figuring out what you need, making your business case (we know, we know), and...

The life-changing magic of quitting, simplifying and sizing up

The Imposters Club is back for season 6, helmed as always by Sinéad and Mel: two best friends figuring life out, one episode at a time. This week we’re talking about the most underrated life skill: knowing when to quit. Why is it that quitting is always seen as a bad thing, when it often shows that you’re self-aware enough to know when something isn’t working? We’ve been thinking about why simplifying your life feels so good, and sharing how to do that – plus, Sinéad’s got something she ...

May in retrograde, intimacy and the power of Queer Eye

The Imposters Club is back for season 6, helmed as always by Sinéad and Mel: two best friends figuring life out, one episode at a time. This week we’re getting intimate. Mel’s been thinking about the intimacy of motherhood and we chat about the different types of intimacy, why it’s not just about sex, and the romantic magic of female friendship. Plus, QUEER EYE IS BACK and it’s unsurprisingly got us talking about vulnerability, masculinity and why talking about - not solving - your probl...

Nursery fees, Tomlettes and beach bodies

The Imposters Club is back for season 6, helmed as always by Sinéad and Mel: two best mates figuring life out, one episode at a time. Did you know pine nuts cost £6 now? We’re chatting about the outrageous cost of living – from food, to fuel, to childcare – and why struggling to make ends meet isn’t a moral failing. Is the cost of living why we’re all so invested in Succession, the prestige TV showing us just how miserable the ultra-rich really are? And finally, Summer is coming and Siné...

9–5s, breaking news and make-believe bands

The Imposters Club is back for season 6, helmed as always by Sinéad and Mel: two best mates figuring life out, one episode at a time. We left you on a cliffhanger: Sinéad was about to start a new job and Mel was heading back to work after maternity leave. In that time we’ve discovered new versions of ourselves at work, struggled with what feels like a never-ending doom cycle in the news, and dived into the hazy, rose-tinted world of Daisy Jones’s 1970s California. Thank you so much ...

Fabulous, funny and endearing

Love this podcast! It’s like listening in to old friends talk about real topics that matter! Policy is, self doubt, self love and most of all imposter syndrome! But somehow they manage to make it light hearted and funny at the same time. Love these girls!
