Jo Russon ,

So amazing I’ve gone back to Episode 1

This is an incredible resource! I am not a professional singer, but I love to sing. During lockdown I wanted to dedicate time to developing as a singer, so I started listening to this podcast. I am finding them so useful. They are educational and entertaining, and at 20 mins, perfect for getting a concentrated boost in all things “intelligent” singing. I have now gone back and started listening from episode 1 (2015).

This man is a great speaker and communicator. He's also knowledgable. He's lays things out very simply but always leaves me wanting to know more. I keep dipping in trying to specific answers to my questions but each time I come across a new area of the art I haven't considered. Thanks John if you're reading this. I've been singing for 50 years - mostly in earshot of family. Can't believe I've waited this long to discover how my body has been making this sound. Good to hear you have Scottish blood!

John Henny is changing me!

For the better, in my 60’s. I have subscribed for some time since starting my sing journey 3yrs ago as a late bloomer.
I became totally fascinated and immersed with vocal technique which was fine and served me well for a while but latterly has led to frustration and lack of progress,
Having binged listened the last few hours on Johns’s latter podcasts, I am now ready to move to a new stage... I have been urged on occasion to engage in mindfulness, as others observe in me, just what John describes in himself... a restless enquiring mind, ( I call it butterfly... doesn’t settle) with attributes of ADHD..
in the past the only podcasts I would hear were related to aspects of technique.
Today listening to Ep. 145 simply begin again. And then 132 Mindfulness and singing.. I know I am about to move on, and up👍🏻.
My wise young son, home for Christmas after travelling round many countries on a bicycle! Has engaged a lot with mindfulness and highly recommended, the day before I hear John also recommend, Sam Harris guided meditations... I am gonna dive in and am now excited for my singing progress.
Thank you John, so much ☺️... I have your courses, jam packed with technique aspects...
But I have bookmarked many more of the motivational podcasts I am now eager to hear.
I must add #131.Listen to the music... also soo much insight.
