Lewis is delivering a consistently great, faithful and tone-perfect treatment of some of the earliest and most formative pieces of short fiction from the Warhammer Fantasy and early 40k universes. With professional performance and insightful commentary he navigates these occasionally awkward pieces with the gravity and sincerity they require while still being able to admit some are not always as great as we might remember, but are a joy to listen to regardless. Thank you sir. You are a gentleman and a scholar.

I was pointed here by the excellent Tabletop Miniature Hobby Podcast and I’m very glad that I checked it out. For nerds of a certain age (like myself) who remember reading these books in childhood, it’s great to be able to revisit them again. The narrator does a good job and his commentaries at the end of each story are interesting and insightful.

Very much forward to each episode dropping! Each is a classic Oldhammer (as in older Warhammer) story followed by an analysis of it and it’s context. Great stuff!!
