#564 Surfacing Your Brand’s Story: Interview with Melanie Deziel

#564 Surfacing Your Brand’s Story: Interview with Melanie Deziel

l love copywriting. I love storytelling. There's nothing better in marketing than the wondrous moments where an individual or a company can turn their ambition, mission or vision into messaging that immediately helps you understand their story.

I also know that it can be a really complex process. For some, the process of turning their goals into stories is natural and joyful and for others it's a painstaking source of frustration. There are also grey areas, such large corporations bursting with stories to tell but shackled by their own corporate governance.

Today's episode is about how to surface your brand's story and joining me for this conversation was Melanie Deziel, Chief Content Officer at Storyfuel. Melanie empowers brands of all backgrounds to tell better stories and is the author of the book 'The Content Fuel Framework' which is designed to help you generate unlimited story ideas!

    In this episode we discuss:

    - How to approach telling your story for the first time
    - Questions you can ask of yourself and others to uncover interesting stories
    - How to keep your brand story consistent
    - How storytelling is developing

Great and varied source of content

Thoroughly enjoy the spectrum of speakers and content!
Keep it up

Good podcast, but skip the first 2 minutes...

Content is usually really insightful and helpful. Sometimes it feels more like sales pitch for the guest’s product or agency though. The first couple of minutes is spent talking about the weather, which gets a bit tiresome.

SJKir ,

Click bait subject lines

I listed to the programmatic advertising podcast (episode 1) with the hope of listening to a podcast about programmatic advertising (shock horror)... instead it was about GDPR which is the last thing on earth I wanted to waste 20 minutes of my life hearing about! I want to believe that episode 2 on the ‘same subject’ will actually talk about programmatic but I don’t want to waste the time.
