    Princess Margaret - "Repression" - Part 4

    Daughter to King George the IV, sister to Queen Elizabeth II, Princess Margaret, Countess of Snowden was once, for a time, second in line to the throne. She was also a fashion icon, which coined the nickname, "The Margaret Look".  Scandal compromised her position in the Royal Family when she fell in love with a servant of the household, Peter Townsend, who was also married. Her breakup with Townsend due to pressure from the Church of England seemed to send the Princess on a spiral filled with excess, and debauchery. Though she eventually married, had children, infidelities on both sides of the marriage led to divorce. Margot, as she was known to her family, a deeply complex and intelligent women, had a lot to divulge to Shara about the nature of the Royals, so this turned into our longest subject of the series thus far. We discuss scandals, mysteries, and the mysticism of things House of Windsor, as well as their relationship to sex. In what was the most watched event in television history at the time in 1981, the number of viewers of Princess Diana's wedding has only been surpassed by her funeral, televised, 16-years later. Strikingly beautiful, charismatic, charming, kind, and caring, the Princess of Wales seemed to be living in modern fairytale, when in reality it was much closer to a nightmare. Feeling void of love within her own marriage, Princess Diana, sought comfort and affection elsewhere, such as with hospital patients, and the affection of ill children. Affairs, scandals, and conspiracies surrounded the divorce of the Prince and Princess of Wales.     John F. Kennedy, Jr. - "Frustration" - Part 3

    Handsome, charismatic, and heir to America's First Family, the life of John F. Kennedy, Jr. was not as charmed as some may believe. Born to the most celebrated President and First Lady of the 20th Century, JFK, Jr. lost his father, John F. Kennedy when he was assassinated in 1963. On his third birthday, he was filmed saluting his father's casket as it rolled by in the funeral procession. When he was seven, his uncle, Robert F. Kennedy, was also assassinated. JFK, Jr. was the most popular Manhattan socialite and celebrated bachelor, a world famous celebrity, that celebrities would be starstruck over. Adventurous, freedom-loving, and somewhat reckless, after marrying at the age of 35, he died less than three years later when the plane he was piloting crashed into the Atlantic Ocean off the coast of Martha's Vineyard with his wife and sister-in-law at the age of 38.
