Pinkwashing, whilst supporting hate
5 Jun
Have now unsubscribed from your podcast - after your absolute Pinkwashing this Pride Month, You can't use a Progress Pride flag as your avatar, whilst promoting the work of a billionaire who has set up a fund to strip away the legal rights of LGBTQ+ people. You, Alex and Sarah, are complicit in the hate, hurt and murder of LGBTQ+ people - and are profiting from that too. #Shameonyou
Learn something new every episode!

I’ve been listening since the beginning of summer and I look forward to the new episode every week - I thought I knew a lot about theatre but I learn something new each week and find the insights into the theatre industry so fascinating, alongside all the different takes, opinions and knowledge about regional and west end shows both that I’ve heard of and found about through the podcast. In particular, the coverage about the Edinburgh fringe proved so helpful before I made my first trip in August and experienced it after hearing about its past through the podcast! This podcast makes me look forward to going on to study theatre at university and learning more about something I love so much! I’ve always fantasised about potentially trying reviewing shows and being a theatre critic and I feel even more inspired/ motivated after hearing Alex and Sarah talk so passionately. Looking forward to future episodes and what’s to come! 🎭🤎
What a treat!

I just listened to Sarah Compton and Nancy Caroll’s new Podcast. I loved it. Hearing an actor and a theatre critic discussing theatre from both sides of the curtain was utterly fascinating, It made me realise what a very superficial theatre goer I am, and I’m sure that I’m going to appreciate so much more, the intricacies involved in a play’s performance, as I listen to their conversations. The public isn’t often given the chance to look behind the workings that go together, from writer to finished staging, in mounting a theatrical production. Thank you both, and I look forward to your future insights. I feel that my theatre going will definitely be enhanced after following you both. Anthea Maton.
