Time between Times Storytelling with Owen Staton. Episode 140. The Name of the Bwca

Welcome friends to another episode of Time between Times.

Today we return to the rich seam of Welsh folklore that I love so much.

Adapted from an old Welsh tale chronicled by Edmund Jones this really has to be one of the spookiest stories I've told on here so please Listiner discretion is advised.

The Name of the Bwca tells an age old tale of the the havoc caused when Mischivious Spirits are invited into our homes. muster your courage and enjoy the story my friends.

Special thanks this week to my friends Dr Delyth Badder and Elidir Jones for the suggestion and the translation.

Time between Times Storytelling with Owen Staton. Firepit fables with Deborah Hyde

It's wonderful to be back after a brief break and to be joined at the Firepit by the Wonderful Deborah Hyde , Folklorist and star of Uncanny and countless other journeys into the paranormal.

Deborah and I sit and discuss her career and how she came to become interested in the Strange and some of her upcoming projects . I then tell one of Deborah's favourite tales , which Gerald of Wales recorded many hundreds of years ago. the Werewolves of Ossory.

please sit back, relax and enjoy a tale told at the firepit at the forest's heart.

Please do not listen if driving or operating machinery .

Delightful!

Listening to Time Between Times is an absolute delight! Transport yourself to a time when the firepit was where you gathered with friends to hear the stories of warriors, of noblemen, of dragons, of the shaping of lands, countries, where your triumphs are welcomed and your troubles are soothed.

Owen is a masterful storyteller. His unique style, pacing, and wealth of stories, draws you in and makes time disappear. Simply put, Owen is unparalleled in his field. His firepit is the best source of folklore, of stories of times long past.

The podcast universe is a better place for Time Between Times. We often forget the simple pleasure of a story well told with friends, Owen brings that pleasure to us all.
