Fantastic podcast

There are some podcasts which have an almost indefinable formula which makes them brilliant and this is one of them. Nat is a compelling presenter and each episode is expertly researched and well-balanced, never being sensationalist. I discovered Weird in the Wade a few weeks ago and have binged listened since then. The episodes about the church at Clophill and those about Potton and Pegnut Woods are particularly well produced and atmospheric; you can imagine being there as you listen along. The flat landscapes of the Biggleswade area also very well drawn and I am keen to visit the places described sometime.

I started this after seeing it recommended in the uncanny podcast’s facebook group and what a little gem it is. I’ve got quite a ways to go to catch up but I’m loving it so far. The Potton Poisoner episodes are so well put together! They’ve kept me hooked from the start. Hearing about the history of the time and what it was like to be a woman back then is so interesting and heartbreaking in equal measure. I’m only as far as the above mentioned episodes so far but I can’t wait to listen to more. I could listen to Natalie speak for days!
