My longest standing podcast
3 Aug
This is the podcast I have been listening to the longest. I really like Bob who is a genuinely good and caring person. I also like the intention of the podcast - to investigate a potential wrongful conviction. Bob is always willing to correct any errors he is told about and I admire his patience when dealing with people that disagree with him. Definitely recommend
Season 12: Episode 12

The Dunning-Kruger effect!
17 Sept
If you look up 'Dunning-Kruger Effect' in the dictionary, Bob Ruff's photo is there. This podcast is the perfect example of it. Bob needs to realise his own limitations, re-assess his judgement & learn where to draw the line. He can't keep putting his own theories above those of actual experts, analysts, detectives w/ decades worth of experience. He can't keep omitting/dismissing solid evidence of guilt. He can't call credible witnesses liars. He can't keep accusing professionals of lies & corruption whenever the facts don't suit him. Bob has developed a Messiah complex & become exactly like a part of the broken system he claims to want to fix. Many seasons have been concerning, but the worst one so far is Season 12. The worst tricks he used that season include: 1) Accusing the victim's own father w/ absolutely ZERO evidence. 2) Ignoring Jim Clemente's expert "Offender Profile" (which pointed to both of the convicted men) & creating an alternate "Profile" of his own, in order to keep the podcast going. 3) Ignoring crucial evidence of harassment & death threats made by one of the convicts, towards the victim. (Which her friends & family reported to the police early on & went on record with). 4) Ignoring one of the convict's reputation as a "pyromaniac" who had a fascination w/ building pipe bombs, molotov cocktails, setting fires (he even sent an email to a girlfriend offering to "professionally burn her ex boyfriend's house down" as an act of revenge.) 5) Starting a witch-hunt against the best friend of the victim, despite him being fully cleared by the FBI's C.A.S.T. cell tower expert. 6) Failing to play an extremely incriminating taped interview with one of the convicts until the final days of the season....The list goes on!!! Playing "knight in shining armour" to sisters/daughters of convicted men has become an addictive ego booster for Bob. He's forgotten the rights of the victim's families to obtain justice is every bit as important. Attempting to UNDO justice & deny grieving families closure, in order to grow your podcast is SHAMEFUL & DANGEROUS. Ironically, the experts who Bob calls corrupt are legally bound by a Code of Conduct, whereas Podcasters like Bob have no such requirements.
