Welcome to yet another episode of What's The Story, today I have former Jungle Cruise skipper David Marley who tells me all about his experience working as a skipper at Disneyland, the books he has and continues to write about, as well as the Disney inspired props that he makes and sells on Etsy. We discuss his time as a skipper and how his experience working in other parts of Disney were not his favorite including why he did not want to be on parade duty. We also talk about which Disney park is his favorite and the reason why it's his favorite as well as some of the jokes he wrote, and his favorite to use during a Jungle Cruise ride. Also, we dive deep into how the skippers are a rare breed in the theme park world currently, from the lines they are able to say, how they can change them, and how it's hard to find a theme park ride that uses real people throughout instead of animatronics.
