Title: The Phantom Ship of Evernight Bay

Level: Intermediate (B1)

#Story :

Caleb, a young fisherman, sets out to uncover the truth behind the legend of the Phantom Ship of Evernight Bay. According to tales, the ship appears only under the full moon, carrying the souls of those lost at sea. One night, Caleb ventures to the bay and sees the ghostly vessel, encountering his mother among the spirits. She warns him that the ship requires a soul for each appearance and that he must leave quickly. However, driven by his love for his mother, he stays and learns of a curse binding the spirits to the ship. His mother reveals that to break the curse, Caleb must find a hidden amulet, buried beneath the village’s oldest tree. Racing against time, Caleb retrieves the amulet and casts it into the sea, freeing the spirits, including his mother. The ship disappears, never to return, and Caleb’s life is forever changed by the haunting encounter.
