This Is Your Show!!

A podcast for people who have been told their opinion doesn't matter, and need a place to express it!! A place for people to share their story with the world and network their ideas with possible collaborators listening from a different country!! What started as a means for people suffering to come speak out and find solace in a space where there is no judgement or ridicule, turned into a place where I have learned people's backgrounds and struggles, but also how they have dealt with those situations!! I have learned A LOT and I know you will too!!! Join us in the conversation!!

Jeff Herge - Not All Heroes Wear Capes!

Jeff Herge is heroic!  And I may not be referring to the type of heroism where someone goes running into gunfire or towards danger on purpose, but he is someone who, in the time of dire need, can put his own fears and anxieties aside to do what is asked of him for the sake of his country.  He is also humble.  Which means he, in his own words, would say that he is a regular guy just doing his job. In other words, a true patriot! The story you are about to hear is his account of the events that took place while he was at work at the Pentagon on the morning of September 11th, 2001. I have broken this story up into two parts as it is graciously detailed and at times even became a bit much for Jeff. There are many levels to the aftermath of 9/11 as it affected all of us in many different ways.  I know people in Canada who feared for their lives as it was close enough to home for us!! In my last 2 interviews with Ian and Charisse, it pained me not being able to put myself in their shoes to sympathize with them on a deeper level.  However, allowing them the space to talk about their experience with 9/11 brought Jeff to me, willing to provide his story. If you or anyone you know suffers from PTSD and have not found a means to manage it, please contact your local mental health center and speak to a professional.  As you will learn in these 2 episodes, talking about your trauma is a good place to start healing from it. thisisyourshowpodcast@gmail.com tylerfriedelproductions@gmail.com
