The moment when a simple podcast can calm you down

This is my second day listening in, and I am currently listening to #245 to the amazing sharing from Anneke Lucas. I cannot put enough word into how much respect, love, support that I would just like to let Ms. Lucas know that she has from one of her listeners…and kudos to Paul, who always seems to do a good job at probing and asking the right questions in an appropriate and respectful manner. Definitely, for me, with ed, depression, bp, and anxiety, listening to the calming telling of sharings from others who have experienced so much yet now are confident enough to speak out, really give me a sense of hope. thank you.

Love Mental Illness Happy Hour

Podcasts and other platforms discussing mental illness are so desperately needed. I have listened to every single episode and gotten SO much out of most of them. It is not at all a depressing show as some might think. It is so validating to hear how other people have gone through the same struggles that you have. Paul is a great host and interviews a wide range of people from all walks of life. People really open up on this show and it is surprising that some of my favorite interviews are about things that don't relate to me at all i.e. the program on postpartum depression (never been pregnant myself) was fascinating… you just never know what interview is going to resonate with you. Still struggling with addiction, depression and anxiety I find comfort in knowing that, yes, I am not alone.
