Let's Learn English! Topic: Fire! 🔥🧯🚒

I thought fire would be a great topic for an English lesson, and I was happy to find a lot of words and phrases as I was planning this class. In this English class I'll help you learn English words and phrases to talk about fire, and many things related to fire.

You'll learn words like fire alarm, fire engine, fire extinguisher, and more!  Once again this will be much more than a simple English vocabulary lesson. I'll be sure to speak extensively about each word and to give many example phrases along the way that you can use when you speak English.

I hope you enjoy this free English class about fire! Have a great day!

Do You Need to Learn Phrasal Verbs? Are Phrasal Verbs Actually Used by English Speakers?

Do You Need to Learn Phrasal Verbs? Are Phrasal Verbs Actually Used by English Speakers?

So you're learning English and you've discovered that learning phrasal verbs is a bit difficult. You might be wondering if you really need to learn them. Do native English speakers really use phrasal verbs in everyday speech? How could they? There are so many of them!

In this English lesson I'll examine a current song, a tv show, a Youtube video, and a news article and let you know if I find any phrasal verbs. I've also tried to keep track of how many times I've used phrasal verbs in English conversations over the last couple of days.

I won't give you the answer here as to whether you should learn phrasal verbs or not. I won't tell you if you should spend a lot or a little bit of time on it or no time at all.  You'll just have to watch the video to find out what I discovered!

Oh, I almost forgot to mention that you will learn a few phrasal verbs if you watch the lesson as well. It's more than just me talking about them. I give a few definitions along the way as well!

An English Class Where I Answer Your Questions

An English Class Where I Answer Your Questions

In this English class you'll get a chance early on to ask a question about the English language, and I'll try during the hour to answer it.

You can ask questions about pronunciation, meaning, usage, and even grammar (although if the grammar question is complex I usually only have time to give a quick answer).

It's great to learn English from books, the movies, TV, and Youtube, but sometimes it's nice to just ask an English teacher a question so you understand the nuances of the English language.

I hope you like this English class! This English lesson is from Saturday April 24, 2021.
