Chasing History Radio: Cooper Shop Volunteer Refreshment Saloon and the Civil War

Not all the heroes of the Civil war were on the battlefields. Volunteer refreshment salons provided very important services to the Union soldiers passing through Philadelphia. Not only that, but these salons also helped to form a collective homefront war effort.
