In this episode of A 30 Minutes Life, Robert describes how he pushed himself too far past his limits and the consequences he paid as a result. "It is so easy to let the things that you can do get smaller and smaller and less and less often and then you do nothing because the fear is that you will experience more pain or fatigue or you will suffer for the days that follow. And this is true. But sometimes you need to accept you have a chronic illness that causes fatigue and pain. Last week, I pushed myself too hard and ended up in bed for most of the day. I've learned that it's important to pace myself, but sometimes I still make the mistake of doing too much. This week, I'm trying to take it easy and recover from last week's mistakes. I'm also trying to stay positive and use my experience to help others. In this episode, you will learn the following: 1. The importance of pacing yourself when you have a chronic illness. 2. The difficulties of knowing your limits when you have a chronic illness. 3. How to use negative experiences in a positive way.
