Rockonteurs with Gary Kemp and Guy Pratt

Just discovered this podcast, the interviews are just great, being 50 something fella who grew up on 80’s music I love the insight that both Gary & Guy get from the guests, keep it it please!

Great podcast, with an immense reach and eclectic selection of highly influential musicians, producers and sound connoisseurs. Always a treat to listen to. Thank you, for all the inspiration. I just wish Guy and Gary were less typically ‘British’ in their constant need to throw in silly anecdotes and go as far as interrupting a perfectly possible conversation, by ‘one upping’ each other all the time. I often feel that whomever they’re talking to is about to get to the point of what the leading question was about, only to be derailed into a ridiculous, often distantly relatable anecdote, which really doesn’t give anyone any more credit btw. We all know you guys are amazing, just be humble, get into the meat of the topics at hand and let the people you’re interviewing speak.

I’m an Ac Dc fan forever, and the Brian Johnson interview is easily the best I’ve ever heard, I’ve listened to all episodes and all great, even ones where the artists music would not be my taste. The David Coverdale is a classic! Our Entertainment!! But you guys as hosts make them all great interviews, the musical connections I didn’t know about are enlightening as they seem to be for you both sometimes.. Keep it up lads.. getting me through these empty times..

I like the eclectic nature of the podcast. Some of the best ones are with people that I’m not really a fan of yet it’s really interesting to hear their opinions. I’d love for there to be one with the brilliant Philip Oakey of The Human League. 40 years on from the remarkable Dare album and 42 years since the release of the astonishing ’Reproduction’ album, it would be fantastic to catch up with Phil to find out about the new album that is rumoured to be coming our way in 2022.
