It's the Trial that never happened... …until now. A missed opportunity

I don’t think this podcast lived up to its promise of providing the equivalent of a trial. Difficult to do given the time passed and the inability to cross examine witnesses. Nonetheless the way the episodes were presented felt unbalanced. The case for the defense contained snippets of the KCs speech and second hand summarising of it by the presenters. The case for the defence was largely an entire speech presented as a single episode with much less interruptions. After listening to the full series It feels like the paper was maybe hoping for a not guilty verdict. Maybe that would make a more interesting story. For all the hype about this new document that the podcast was based on, I don’t think it contained much I didn’t know.
