The Best There Is, the Best There Was, the Best There Ever Will Be
I was born in 1982 so I was a child during the Hulk Hogan WWF Golden Era. I was Teenager during the Bra and panties, Stone Cold Steve Austin, Attitude era. These guys are exactly me. They where raised with and passionately love wrestling. They find themselves still watching wrestling but the new product is slowly killing them yet they still love wrestling. I wish Vince McMahon and HHH listened to this show and hired these men as critics. Great show guys 👏 Keep up the good work. Love the show. P.S. Denise Salcedo is very annoying. She makes no points and just meanders. Don’t invite her back on show please
Fun discussions and personalities but a bit too much negativity
I just wanna make it clear that I like a lot of the guys from Wrestletalk. Adam Blampied is my favourite wrestling Youtuber so I’m always gonna watch anything he’s on. However, I have issues with some of the other guys like, Luke Owen, Oli Davis, etc. They seem like lovely guys outside of work but I feel like they are too negative about WWE, especially Luke. I’m not saying don’t give criticism, I’m saying give constructive criticism but don’t just hate on the product all the time. They also hate too much on other wrestlers. For some reason, Luke just hates The Miz but I’m not sure why. Even when he praises him, he still finds a way to say something bad about him. He also likes to make it seem like Triple H is not a good Booker that he just makes good PLEs and has good wrestlers. That’s the whole point of a good booker. Oli also likes to hate on John Cena which look, I understand some of the hate when he was playing the “Super Cena” character, but even so, it feels like this guy still hasn’t gotten over his hatred and is still completely biased against him. I don’t wanna sound to angry, but the fact that he still says stuff like “John Cena can’t wrestle” is just old and sad now. Cena’s proved multiple times he’s a good wrestler and has had many brilliant matches, so just get over your hatred of him. Some of the others like Pete, Tempest, etc. while again, I do like, just sometimes always have this sense of negativity. If they already hate on something, they’ll find a way to hate on it even more and if they like something, they’ll find a way to make it seem not as good as it is. I also feel like they troll people for their opinions like if they liked WWE during the mid 2000s or have nostalgia for the WWE during the Ruthless Aggression Era. I get some of them stopped watching during that time and were probably fans of other companies but I would just like it if they would be more respectful to people who liked WWE after the Attitude Era, because back then, they were kids and they were just enjoying themselves watching wrestling. I also feel like some of them are a bit biased towards AEW. Now I can understand why people love AEW. I really like it too. But it feels like a lot of their reviews for that company is all “this is perfect, best wrestling show, nothing wrong whatsoever. People will call me some WWE Fanboy but that’s not it. I criticise WWE just as much as anyone else but I’m also someone who’s not just gonna hate everything because, I am a wrestling fan, I’m gonna find as much fun as I can in the product and if I don’t like something, I’ll criticise it, but if i don’t mind something, I won’t go nitpicking every thing that could be wrong with the story/characters. I’m sorry if it feels like I’m going on a rant but I do have positives. First of all, most of the guys on the podcast are interesting to listen to and they have good chemistry with each other. I also feel like when they come out of their comfort zone and start being more positive and friendly it’s when the podcast is at its best. I always enjoy listening to Sat because he’s just very positive while also giving criticism when needed. He feels like a wrestling fan that loves wrestling but also isn’t deluded and he brings the best out of Tempest when they do podcasts together. I also think Dan is a positive light on the podcasts and gives constructive criticism but also is trying to enjoy the product. I also like to hear Adam Blampied and Sullivan whenever they’re on because the two have great chemistry and also bring positive energy out of each other. Adam’s got a lot of charisma and is pretty funny and while he does give criticism, I don’t agree with all of his opinions, he does still seem like a wrestling fan who enjoys wrestling and doesn’t hate on other people’s opinions as much and mostly respects the wrestlers he talks about, even if he’s not the biggest fan of them.
Solid as a cup of tea
A consistent and fun podcast talking all things WWE & AEW. Keeping wrestling enjoyable and accessible for people who can’t watch a billion hours a week. Keep up the great work and I’d love a fantasy booking episode where everyone in teams books a year of wwe from wrestlemania to wrestlemania. Go raibh mhaith agat (Gu-rev-maht-a-gut, Irish for thanks)
