No Kate, but Prince William’s beard makes white tie debut as Camilla rejoins King on the rota

The diplomatic corps reception at Buckingham Palace is always a key royal milestone on the countdown to Christmas - and an opportunity for tiaras and glamour. 

Princess Kate missed it this time around as she continues her recovery from cancer treatment, but Prince William (and beard) joined the King and Queen for the big event.
