Sheri DeMaris, M. Ed., a pioneer in alternate health, is a natural foods chef/educator for last three decades and has taught people and organizations across the world the importance of cooking and eating well.

Sheri is the producer, creator and narrator of the film documentary ‘The Spirit of Rice’. She is the host of a TV show on macrobiotic cooking and an author of an internationally sold cookbook "Macro Magic for Kids and Parents".

Sheri is Level 4 Macrobiotic graduate from Kushi Institute. Sheri DeMaris has taught extensively on the East Coast and taught at restaurants and cooking schools extensively in the US & Europe. She has traveled throughout the United States, Germany, Belgium, Amsterdam, and Japan as a cooking instructor and educator. She has been a consultant to the chefs at top-rated restaurants, including the Ritz Carlton. She has shared her deep knowledge in foods and cooking with various medical professionals including professionals at University of California San Diego School of Integrative Medicine and Hahnemann University. She holds a Master’s Degree in Counseling from the College of William and Mary in Virginia and completed post-graduate studies in counseling from Villanova University in Pennsylvania.

Sheri writes articles for various adult and teen magazines and has been a guest speaker on a number of national radio shows. Sheri has been a keynote speaker at a number of holistic health events including Vegetarian Festivals in the United States and Japan, and the International Macrobiotic Summer Conferences in the United States and Europe.

Sheri has also featured on cooking TV shows including “Celebrity Kitchens”, “Christina Cooks”, “Kids Kan Too” and “The Make-Over Story”.
