    Shivani Persad is a fashion model, content marketer, and writer. She has an Honours B.A. in Political Science, a B.A. in French from McMaster University, and a certificate in Multi-platform Journalism from Seneca College.

    As a full-time international model, she's graced the runways and campaigns of brands like Sephora, DVF, Target, Nordstrom, Joe Fresh, Hudson's Bay, Clairol, Laura Mercier, Harper's Bazaar India, and many more. Shivani also ventured into journalism, contributing to publications like Teen Vogue, Cosmopolitan, Vogue Business, The Juggernaut, Anti-Racism Daily, TVO, and Flare Magazine.

    But that's not all – Shivani hosted "The Bigger Issue" as part of CBC's Creator Network, engaging in thought-provoking conversations. Additionally, she took the helm of Indigo Books and Music Inc.'s nationwide podcast, "Well Said," where she interviewed Amanda Seales, Rupi Kaur, Jay Shetty, Don Lemon, and many others.

    In this episode, Shivani opens up about her journey with body image and eating habits throughout her 13-year career as a model. She is the creator of Viva Meu Corpo, a podcast and community that celebrates body diversity and mental health. Nathi also advocates for immigrant women's rights and serves as the board chair of Garra, a nonprofit organization dedicated to empowering Brazilian immigrant women living in New York.
