    Coaching this week: (33:63)
    How to Take Action
Action creates information. When you do something you learn from it. Don’t freeze up. Make a choice and move. Take action on all the good things that you know that you want to give it a try. It may not be perfect, but it will be progress. Keep moving. Keep learning. And keep growing.

    Recommendations: (42:04)
My fun recommendation this week is about lashes. Lash View Self-adhesive lashes from Amazon, come in clusters of lashes. They simply stick to your lashes and they’re easy to put on and take off. These are great!

Secrets to Building a Wildly Successful Business with Beth McCord

Secrets to Building a Wildly Successful Business with Beth McCord

Welcome to the show today! We are in the middle of Smart Girl Summer. Today we are with one of my favorite smart women in the world, Beth McCord, better known as Your Enneagram Coach. I love doing these smart girl summer episodes. I learned quite a bit and I'm sure you will too.  Beth McCord is an accomplished Enneagram speaker, author, coach, and teacher with over two decades of dedicated experience. In her new book, The Enneagram for Moms: See the True Colors of Yourself and Your Children as God Intends, Beth blends Enneagram wisdom with practical insights to foster authentic and healthy family dynamics. Join Beth and I as we talk about: What is working for businesses in 2024 Evaluating what is working and making changes How to maximize our time Choosing new projects What Beth is working on now Best practice for creating online courses Favorite quotes:  “There is a lot of being curious, figuring things out, and being flexible. Being flexible is one of the biggest things.”  (9:06 audio) “What can we do with the time we have and maximize it? That is the key here.”  (12:57  audio) “God created her to be her personality for her kids and their personalities. He didn’t make a mistake, so how can we celebrate that, and how can we own our weaknesses but not in a shameful, guilty, judging way? How can we see those and grow from them?”  (24:45 audio) “With courses, how can you say the same content and message as quickly, efficiently, practical, and applicable as possible? I would aim for bite-sized lessons.”  ( (26:54 audio) Coaching this week: (29:47 audio) Escaping the Mediocrity Trap: A Guide to Getting Unstuck In this week’s coaching, I share tips for recognizing mediocrity situations and practical steps to escape the mediocrity trip. The mediocrity trap is one of the trickiest ruts to escape. Unlike terrible situations that, once you are out, often turn into funny stories or proud memories, mediocre situations drag on and become what I call the "Lost Years."  The biggest obstacle to getting unstuck is often our own mindset. Don’t settle for a life that’s just okay. Recommendations: (41:00 audio) This week’s  recommendation is Spotifiy’s free audio books. If you have Spotify Premium, this year they're including free audio books in their membership. I looked and all of my books are available. Enjoy! Staying True to Your Calling with Jo Saxton

Welcome to the show today! We are in the middle of Smart Girl Summer. We have one of my favorite smart girls with us today, Jo Saxton. We are bringing back a great episode with her this week. She's one of the wisest, kindest, most brilliant women around, and I know you're going to love it. Jo has dedicated her career to empowering women to live into their God-given potential, confident in their call, intentional with their influence, and equipped with the support and resources they need along the way. Over the course of her career, she has led in ministry and non-profit settings as well as pastoring and church-planting. She has also written several books to help women be intentional with their influence. She is also a podcast host and led online Leadership Coaching communities of women dedicated to their own development as leaders in their spheres of influence. Join Jo and I as we talk about: How Jo got started, where she is now, and where she is headed The way to ensure experiments are successful (and it’s not by whether they actually succeed or not!) The mindset needed during transitions so that we can become more creative and more self-aware What God expects from us as we face a challenge (and what He does for us every day) Kryptonite that we face as women Favorite quotes:  13:10 (Audio) - “Just because it’s uncertain doesn’t necessarily mean it’s bad. It doesn’t mean it’s all falling apart. And even if it is all falling apart, it doesn’t mean it’s over. It means I’ve got to be curious about it rather than give up and walk away.” 14:48 (Audio) - “Transition isn’t just an aberration and an evil thing. It can be hard for sure, but transition is an opportunity to be creative. This is an opportunity to become more self-aware and aware of what God is saying to me.” 15:16 (Audio) - “Experiments are successful because of what they reveal, not just on account of whether they work or not.” 17:46 (Audio) - “Arriving at the end of the transition isn’t the point, it’s how you transition that matters.” 24:59 (Audio) - “I think we forget what it is to learn. And we forget that learning is integral to our gifting and our calling.” Coaching this week: (9:44 audio)  Confidence Boost: Simple Steps to Overcoming Fear and Taking Action  This week’s coaching I help you conquer hesitation and take action. Hesitation can hold you back. There’s a strong link between hesitation and self-esteem. Confidence is like a muscle. The more you use it, the stronger it gets. To break free from this cycle, you need to be proactive and I provide you with some super practical steps to build confidence. Embrace the boldness within you and take that first step! Recommendations: (48:36 audio) In this week's show I share a movie, Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes. This is a new trilogy that they’re kick-starting and it’s super entertaining.
