Making Creativity Pay

Dan Barnett
Making Creativity Pay Podcast

Welcome to ‘Making Creativity Pay’, this isn’t a podcast about making millions, more about speaking to people in creative industries whether that’s music, literature, art or anything that relies on creativity about how that ties in with making a living from it. The aim is not about selling out any creative endeavour but to ensure that there is at least some way to pay the bills and keep the lights on, money can be seen to be a vulgar part of the process but getting fairly paid for the time, effort and expertise you put in to something shouldn't be a bad thing.

Lorna Rose Treen and Jonathan Oldfield

"You can't interview a ghost on this show. But you can have a woman who has swallowed her whole forearm" I spoke to Lorna Rose Treen and Jonathan Oldfield about a range of subjects including their Radio 4 show Time of The Week which you can currently catch up with on BBC Sounds. We also chat about their experiences with character comedy, drama and improvisation as well as discussing their experiences at the Edinburgh Fringe and Lorna’s experiences of winning Dave’s ‘Best Joke of the Fringe’ last year and the ensuing reaction to that news where it was described in the Sun as the Death of Comedy.
