Dhyan Chand, who was born on the 29th of August 1905, is regarded as one of the best players to have ever played the sport.   Every year his birthday is celebrated as the National Sports Day in India. 

      Dhyan Chand, who had joined the army at the of 16, was instrumental in India’s hat-trick of gold medals in the 1928, 1932, and 1936 Olympics. Known for his unmatchable goal-scoring abilities, Dhyan Chand is renowned as ‘the magician or the wizard of hockey’, mainly because of his skills with the hockey stick

      Initially, I thought there is no need to make a special episode on this topic.  But after talking to a few of my friends I realized that I had to make a special episode of Major Dhyan Chand.

The National Education Policy was framed in 1986 and modified in 1992. More than three decades have passed since the previous Policy. During this period significant changes have taken place in our country, society economy, and the world at large. It is in this context that the education sector needs to gear itself towards the demands of the 21st Century and the needs of the people and the country. Quality, innovation, and research will be the pillars on which India will become a knowledge superpower. Clearly, a new Education Policy is needed.

Here comes the National Educational Policy  2020.
