Exercise = Medicine
Episode 52: This episode covers the magic of what strength training can do for modern medicine, how all specialities can contribute to this recent change in health care, and how we can empower our patients instead of tearing them down based on things they currently can or cannot do.

Suicidal Thoughts/Attempts in Pediatric Patients
*DISCLAIMER*
Today’s episode contains discussions related to suicide and sexual trauma. Both are very sensitive topics to discuss for many and can sometimes trigger intense emotions and thoughts. If you or anyone you know is struggling with suicidal thoughts or behaviors, please direct them to a health care provider immediately. If someone's safety is in immediate danger, please dial 911.
Episode 51: It’s now no secret that even pediatric and adolescent patients can struggle with anxiety, depression and suicidal thoughts. How can we address this in practice? Some of us work with pediatrics on a regular basis, and some of us do not. It's important to remember though that ALL of us should all know how to act when time is of the essence in a case like this. In this episode, we'll discuss how to identify the risk of pediatric suicidal thoughts/attempts, how to respond in the moment, and how to plan for the next time. Sometimes the most important discussions can be the most difficult.

Why U.S. Health Care is Broken: An Unbiased Opinion
Episode 49: Eva Minkoff might be the only person I know that has equal perspectives from the patient side, provider side, organizational side, and research side of things. Her ability to see all sides of the healthcare equation is one of her greatest strengths. I naturally had to have her join the show to talk about one of the most important discussions out there in the world today.
Enjoy :)

Travel Nursing: The Best Thing Ever?
Episode 48: On the fence about switching to travel nursing? There's been a HUGE shift toward travel nursing ever since COVID-19, and in this episode we discuss the pros, the (quite possibly) only con, and why this should definitely be something on your radar. Not a nurse? Learn how to manage travel nurses, be an attractive facility for them, and how the system works. I learned a lot in this episode!

The Enneagram 9: For The Healthcare Provider
Episode 47: The Enneagram Type 9 is known as "The Peacemaker". We'll discuss the motivations, strengths, and weaknesses associated with this type and how they relate to being a healthcare provider. What parts of practice may come easy to Type 9s? Where do Type 9s maybe fall short? What do they have to work harder on than others to be successful in practice? If you're a Type 9, listen to learn more about your type on a deeper level. If you're not a Type 9, listen to learn more about your Type 9 colleagues and patients. If you don't know your type yet, listen and see if the Type 9 resonates with you!
