Aya Nakamura has awakened the racists
All it took was one article about alleged conversations between President Macron and Aya Nakamura to start a national debate.
It is rumoured that the singer might be performing at the 2024 Paris Olympics' opening ceremony, maybe even singing Edith Piaf and it's safe to say, a lot of people are unhappy. Now, music tastes are subjective and personal, but the discourse around this possible performance quickly turned subtly (or not) racist and misogynistic, and that's what we're diving into today.

Juicy voicenote #4: is it that hard to stop eating from two fast-food chains for a few months?
This week's episode works as a continuation and more of an opinion piece to an article I wrote questioning the power of boycotts in our day and age.

The short of it is: that we need to do more and stop making excuses if we want to channel the true potential of people power.

The annual new year catch & what I want politicians to stop doing in 2024
Happy New Year my darlings 💞 We're back today with our annual reflections from new resolutions to learnings from the past year and just the general life updates.
To start the year right, we're also going through some of the big societal conversations that happened this year and basically just asking politicians to start caring about people other than themselves.
Hope you enjoy it and please let me know if you do!

Supporting, empowering and protecting queer lives
In recent years, the queer community, and more specifically the trans community have been subject to dangerous, unfounded, and hateful attacks from media, governments, and the general public all across the world.
In a world where the idea of a 'culture war' is being thrown around senselessly, we got together to talk about the root of the many (non) issues that are surfacing notably in the UK and US and the need for all of us, to come together, recognise that was is happening is no more than a political distraction from the very real problems our societies face as well as continue to support and fight for every queer person's right to exist, live safely, and thrive. -

Juicy voicenote #2: influencers are out of control
It's been an intense few weeks in the digital world with Collen Ballinger getting canceled (yet again), Shein's latest and most controversial influencer trip and our usual internet favs (or not) acting absolutely unhinged, as always really!
In the chaos of all this, on the pod, it got us thinking about if and how influencer activity and content can be regulated and how many passes can a person get before they lose their platform.
