    Un ragionamento sul significato dell’identità del singolo e dell’importanza del riconoscersi e di coraggio nell’aprirsi all’altro. Tutti e due (la rana e lo scorpione) sono portatori di un’identità ben definita, ma dal loro incontro, dal loro riconoscersi, si crea una situazione diversa che permette a entrambi di mettersi in gioco. L’identità ha a che fare con l’immagine che ognuno ha di sé, della propria soggettività. Tutto quello che viviamo, serve a costruire, tassello per tassello, la nostra identità, che rappresenta comunque il risultato tra l’interazione psico-emotiva con l’esterno e i vissuti e le esperienze che “immagazziniamo” al nostro interno.

    Chi sono io? La maggior parte persone passano il resto della propria vita senza porsi tale domanda, poiché lo ritengono scontato, stupido, o addirittura esotericamente ovvia. O, semplicemente, sono totalmente occupati a fare altro della propria vita, che quesiti di questo calibro sono un intralcio al proprio vivere abitudinario. Essere birazziali vuol dire, tra le altre cose, avere una fluidità culturale eccezionale ed una pletora di pratiche tradizionali e formative. Puoi quasi annoverarti come un mediatore culturale in grado di affascinare una platea per il modo naturale che hai di cambiare codice culturale (sempre se non stai minando la loro percezione di te – e questo è uno dei pericoli e guai che spesso si incontra come persone miste, quello cioè di essere visti come una minaccia all’integrità dell’altro!). Essere birazziali è come indossare un cappotto. Quando fa troppo caldo, puoi toglierlo, quando la temperatura è troppo fredda, puoi rimetterlo. Quando una cultura non ti sembra giusta, hai la possibilità di aderire all’altra metà.
