    The Murder of Charles Littles

Another Most Notorious Plus exclusive! On the evening of December 19, 1857, a twenty-five-year-old attorney named Charles Littles was beaten to death on a cliff near a waterfall in Rochester, New York and then dumped over the side. The morning after, siblings Ira Stout and Sarah Stout Littles, the victim's wife, were arrested for the murder. The case would become especially sensational when stories began surfacing that Ira and Stout were not only brother and sister, but also romantically involved with each other.
