EP-1 എന്താണ് റീഓറിയന്റ് ? (What is ReOrient ?)

നമ്മുടെ പോഡ്കാസ്റ്റിന്റെ പേര് 'റിഓറിയന്റ് മലയാളം പോഡ്കാസ്റ്റ് ' എന്നാണ്. അതുകൊണ്ട് ഈ ആദ്യ എപ്പിസോഡില്‍ എന്താണ് റീഓറിയന്റ് എന്നു വിശദീകരിക്കാനാണ് ശ്രമിക്കുന്നത്. ആന്ദ്രെ ഗുന്തര്‍ഫ്രാങ്ക് എന്ന സാമ്പത്തിക ചരിത്രകാരന്‍ 1998ല്‍ പ്രസിദ്ധീകരിച്ച "റീഓറിയന്റ് - ഗ്ലോബല്‍ എക്കോണമി ഇന്‍ ദ ഏഷ്യന്‍ ഏജ് " എന്ന പുസ്തകത്തിലൂടെ മുന്നോട്ടുവെച്ച ആശയമാണ് ഇത്. ഒരു വിപ്ലവ പ്രത്യയശാസ്ത്രമെന്ന നിലയില്‍ മാര്‍ക്സിസത്തിന്റെ മുന്നോട്ടുപോക്കിനു ഈ ആശയം എന്തുമാത്രം പ്രധാനമാണെന്ന് ഈ എപ്പിസോഡില്‍ ടി ജയരാജന്‍ വിശദീകരിക്കുന്നു. Our podcast's name is 'ReOrient Malayalam Podcast'. So, this episode is trying to explain what is ReOrient. It is an idea put forward by Andre Gunder Frank, an economic historian through his book "ReOrient - Global Economy in the Asian Age" (1998). In this episode, T Jayarajan explains how this idea is important for the advancing of Marxism as a revolutionary ideology.
