Nous diffusons cette première épisode en français de Styledent Talks que nous avons filmé avec Dr Berge Wazirian, prosthodontiste à Montréal. Dans cet épisode, nous discutons de la différence entre la façon de pratiquer la prosthodontie aux États-Unis et au Canada, du future de l’enseignement en médecine dentaire et de sa perspective du futur de la dentisterie après la covid-19.
 
Le Dr Berge Wazirian a obtenu son diplôme en médecine dentaire de l’Université de Montréal. Il a ensuite fait une année d’études avancées en dentisterie générale à l’Eastman Institute for Oral Health de l’Université de Rochester dans l’état de New York. Après avoir exercé pendant une année comme dentiste généraliste, le Dr Wazirian est retourné à l’Université de Rochester pour se spécialiser en prosthodontie.
Actuellement, il partage son temps entre le bureau privé et l’enseignement. D’ailleurs, Il enseigne à l’Université McGill dans le cadre des programmes de résidence de l’Hôpital général de Montréal et l'Hôpital pour enfants de Montréal. En plus, Dr Wazirian partage ses connaissances et son amour pour la prosthodontie avec ses collègues dentistes en offrant des cours de formation continue à travers la province. Le Dr Wazirian est Fellow du Collège royal des chirurgiens dentistes du Canada et membre de l’American College of Prosthodontists et de l’International Team for Implantology.

In today's episode we kick off the podcast with a talk with Dr Sara Shah! We will talk about women in dentistry, about the importance of teamwork with specialist-dentist-lab-patient in the success of cases, and her perspective on dentistry post pandemic. 
Sara Shah DMD, MMSc is a board-certified Periodontist and Implant Specialist who uses minimally invasive periodontal and implant techniques to improve patients’ oral health. Originally from Central Florida, Dr. Shah earned her DMD at the University of Pennsylvania before obtaining advanced training in General Anesthesia, Emergency Medicine and Oral Surgery at Malcolm Randall VA Medical Center. Dr. Shah completed a three-year residency in Periodontics and Implant Dentistry at Harvard University. She went on to receive a Masters in Medical Sciences from Harvard Medical School with additional training at Harvard Business School. Dr. Shah is a Diplomate of the American Board of Periodontology. She is also an active member of the Dental Society of Greater Orlando, American Academy of Periodontology and the International Congress of Oral Implantologists.
