Ultrasound isn’t just for imaging during pregnancy. It can also be used to treat brain conditions. WSJ’s Charlotte Gartenberg speaks with Dr. Michael Kaplitt, professor and executive vice chairman of neurological surgery at Weill Cornell Medicine, about how ultrasound is currently being used to treat tremors. He talks about how in the future, it could be used to help administer more complex treatments for conditions affecting the brain, from Alzeheimer’s to brain cancer.
