    Augmented reality : Graffiti gives you the information you need on your surroundings

    Ever been in a crowd, take a concert for instance, and desperately looking for your friends, that you lost 5 minutes ago? Ever been in a city, desperately trying what you see on the map and what you have around you? Ever browsed every online shopping site in a middle of a shop to understand if the price you see is the best one you can get?  The startup we are hosting today is combing Image recognition, Artificial Intelligence and Augmented reality to recognize places, objects and people. Graffiti was created at the beginning of 2019 and its application is already available.     Automated image analysis : Biocellvia reads tissue to assess drug efficacy

    In order to demonstrate the efficacy of candidate molecule, it is sometimes necessary to proceed to tissue analysis, based on some form of visual analysis. Automated image analysis can provide a much more precise and much quicker way of achieving these histological analysis. Gaining time and precision in this process would be beneficial to both patients and the pharmaceutical industry.  To talk about this topic today, we are hosting a startup using machine learning to improve biological image analysis Biocellvia was created in 2011 in Marseilles and has already demonstrated the soundness of its solution in scientific papers. It is now scaling up the commercialization phase of its product Biocellvia will be part of a Business Starter program in California organized for a delegation of companies based in region Sud.     Energy waste reduction 2/2: with Alertgasoil, stop wasting fuel

    Our planet is heating up and there is little doubt that slowing down the consumption of fossil fuel is one of the major challenges our economy will be facing.  But this challenge is also a fantastic opportunity.  In the fight against climate change, new markets will be created by innovative actors proposing new solutions to old problems.  Here with me today, a startup that has developed a solution for reducing fossil fuel waste, one of the most effective ways to lower consumption.  AlertGasoil was created in Marseilles in 2012 and since then it has not stopped growing, winning prizes and conquering markets.     Energy waste reduction ½ : how Enogia turns heat waste into eletricity

    A scientific paper recently estimated that the potential energy production resulting from recovering industrial heat waste in the European Union amounted to three hundred tera watt hour per year. To have a clearer picture of what it represents, it means that turning that heat, resulting from industrial production and currently wasted, into electricity would be enough to cover the electrical needs of a country like Italy. The startup with us today has developed a technology allowing to recover precisely that kind of heat waste.  Enogia was created in Marseilles in 2009 and is now in a phase of impressive scaling up, particularly on international markets Enogia will be part of two Business Starter programs in California and in Japan organized for delegations of companies based in region Sud. They will be in Tokyo between October 9 and October 12, 2019. Then, they will be in San Francisco and San Diego between November 11 and November 15.
