C.H.A.O.S. Age Series "Twenties" feat. Guest Speaker Sharada Lakhan

We are continuing our “Age Series” with Sharada Lakhan, Licensed Psychologist, who will NORMALIZE the CHAOS of the 20s with us. Sharada received her doctorate in counseling psychology in 2016 and previously received a JD from Hamline School of Law. In her spare time she loves to cook, dance, garden, volunteer, and spend time with friends and family.

If you missed the first episode of this series go CHECK IT OUT on all MAJOR PLATFORMS right now. There are different levels of CHAOS, blessings, lessons, heartache, happiness, desires, goals, dreams, and ideologies throughout the lifespan and we wanted to do a series that would reflect the growth, highlight the accomplishments, illustrate similarities, and NORMALIZE the CHAOS throughout the years. We will be having multiple guests, of a variety of backgrounds, join us for each decade and discuss careers, goals, love, friendship, and advice they'd share for those currently in that age group. Additionally, we have two special episodes scheduled, with a panel of guest speakers, discussing divorce and the journey to motherhood.

Please remember and respect the experiences, thoughts, and opinions of those interviewed throughout the series. Not every single experience or piece of advice may resonate with you or your family; take from the series what applies. We value the experiences and uniqueness of each individual person and have a zero tolerance policy with regards to hate, discrimination, bullying, harassment, or negative slurs.  We truly hope you enjoy this series and welcome all feedback!

C.H.A.O.S. Age Series "The Teens" feat. Guest Speaker Marcus Hughes

We are excited to finally bring you our Age Series.

To kick off the series, we have Marcus Hughes, our wonderful audio engineer, reminiscence and reflect on the Teen Years and share how he's "grown up" over the last few years. Marcus was born and raised in Omaha, Nebraska and is the youngest of 3 children. He received his Bachelor of Arts (BA) in design studies from Arizona State University. He has worked for companies like Nintendo before becoming a self-employed Entrepreneur with multiple businesses. He currently lives in Seattle and enjoys working out, playing video games, and audio engineering.

Please remember and respect the experiences, thoughts, and opinions of those interviewed throughout the series. Not every single experience or piece of advice may resonate with you or your family; take from the series what applies. Episode 12- Racism & Mental Health: Part II.

Join us for Part II of this series as we continue to explore the notable, but often overlooked, relationship  between racism and metal health. Part II of this series recaps some key points from Part I, discusses the intricate relationship between internalized racism and trauma, a brief overview of statistical data, access (of lack thereof) to services, common diagnoses and symptoms, some possible solutions and the true meaning of Allyship. Lastly, we continue to discuss some of the sociocultural concepts that are not fully understood  and/or still upheld today that continue to perpetuate racism on  historical, cultural and institutional levels.
