I know some people can never forgive Franken, which is unfortunate. Have we not all made mistakes in the past? I know I have. Are not many, if not the majority of current politicians infinitely more morally compromised than Franken, including the current president? So why the double standard? Like the rest of us on the planet, Franken is not perfect, but he is a man of integrity, and a man with a deep sense of fairness, justice and empathy for others, and a genuine love for his country. That is abundantly clear in these podcasts. We don’t just need more politicians like him, we need more people like him, period.
